Fashion, Love and Neuroscience by Odilia Rivera-Santos

I have been blogging for about six years now and often look at blogs with outrageous traffic and wonder what the hell people are interested in reading. Hence, my decision to start this brand-new blog dedicated to three subjects: fashion, love and neuroscience. Something tells me the first two subjects will be more popular than the third. However, I love me some experiments and will post articles on all three subjects everyday except when I don't... in which case, I will post on the right subject on the right day as outlined below.
Fashion is a very personal thing; putting an outfit together is art. When women or men consider the words of a designer gospel, they become boring and a part of the person's character disappear until a pile of uniformly matched predictable outfits. My education has been rooted in the arts since the first grade when we had to dance barefoot and recite poetry by militant Black Power poets; my liberal arts education taught me to trust my aesthetic judgement.

Love, and here I am speaking about romantic love, is a very complicated process that requires infinite patience and acceptance. The first mystery in love is why so many of us choose so badly when we look for a partner -- it seems that vulnerability causes a lapse of judgement.

Neuroscience is a subject I've always been very interested in and I consider it the philosophical division of science. How the brain behaves in certain contexts or how a physical injury to the brain can affect something as delicate as one's ability to understand irony or how experience is now being spoken about as something that may alter brain chemistry.

Fashion on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Love on Thursday, Friday
Neuroscience on Saturday, Sunday

I am very curious to see which subject will get the most hits.
